The UTC Mocs Softball program has a lot of success in its history and it’s nice to have college softball back here in 2021. With a new year comes a new segment where we’ll be showcasing a different Moc each week getting to know them more personally and what they’re like off the field.
This week we continue the softball conversation with a very talented junior leader of the team in the second baseman Emily Coltharp. Emily shares how she ended up in Chattanooga, why she decided to begin hitting from the left side in 7th grade, her mindset when she gets into the batter’s box, all of her little superstitions, her favorite softball memories, and much more.
She also shows us her batting stance, who influenced her to play the game of softball, her aspirations for after softball, and more.
