The Chattanooga State Tigers finished the 2021 regular season 29-14 and while they were ousted in the first round of the playoffs by Motlow State they still had three guys who were honored by the TCCAA as All-Region selections.
First, starting pitcher Cam Hansen who was also named the Pitcher of the Year on the East side of Region 7 was phenomenal this season. Hansen was 5-1 with a sparkling 2.63 ERA over 51.1 innings pitched, 68 strike-outs, and three complete games including a no-hitter against the mighty Walters State squad early in the season.
Next, outfielder Lyndon Weaver led the team in hitting at a .372 clip, 39 runs, 37 RBI’s, 11 doubles, three triples, and six long balls.
Finally, infielder/pitcher Grey Laspaluto finished the season by hitting .360, scored 26 runs, drove in 20, clubbed three home runs, slashed nine doubles, and compiled a .477 on-base percentage.
