“You can’t write SEC football history without Rod Bramblett”
As many of you know by now, the “Voice of the Auburn Tigers”, Rod Bramblett, and his wife Paula passed away in a tragic car accident over the weekend.
Bramblett was a 1988 graduate from Auburn University, and was the play-by-play man for football, basketball, and baseball for the Tigers.
Bramblett called Auburn sports for 16 years, and is most known for his two calls during the Tigers’ 2013 season – The Miracle in Jordan-Hare, and The Kick-Six. Those plays, both crazy and historic, enabled Auburn to clinch the SEC West, and pushed them to an SEC Title and National Championship game appearance.
Bramblett’s calls in both of those games are absolutely legendary, and, like him, will never be forgotten.
