Area athletes sign Letters of Intent on fall signing day

Multiple Chattanooga area student-athletes signed their national letters of intent Wednesday, which kicked off the fall signing day period for multiple collegiate sports.

Below is a list of local student-athletes that signed national letters of intent Wednesday to play their respective sport at the next level.

Colin Ahearn (Baylor, Baseball) – Tennessee

Ruth Balogun (Hamilton Heights, Women’s Basketball) – Central Arkansas

Brayden Broome (Ringgold, Baseball) – Samford

Kamilla Cardoso (Hamilton Heights, Women’s Basketball) –  Syracuse

Carter Edge (McCallie, Baseball) – Middle Tennessee State

Madison Hayes (East Hamilton, Women’s Basketball) – Mississippi State

Treasure Hunt (Hamilton Heights, Women’s Basketball) – Kentucky

Will Jackson (McCallie, Swimming) – Tennessee

Katie Nash (GPS, Rowing) – Duke

Gracie O’Neal (Gordon Lee, Cross Country) – Georgia

Makayla Packer (Baylor, Softball) – Auburn

Andrew Prescott (McCallie, Men’s Soccer) – East Tennessee State

Meg Priest (GPS, Women’s Soccer) – Samford

Samson Ruzhentsev (Hamilton Heights, Men’s Basketball) – Florida

Emma Scruggs (GPS, Swimming) – Georgia Southern

Anna Walker (Bradley Central, Women’s Basketball) – UTC

Elizabeth Warwick (GPS, Softball) – Southern Illinois

Ariana Whatley (GPS, Softball) – Howard

Jonathan Xoinis (CCS, Men’s Golf) – UT Martin
