The Southern Conference selected their all-conference teams for the 2019 season. Eleven Chattanooga Mocs were recognized by the coaches and media personnel. Freshman running back Aliym Ford was tabbed SoCon Freshman of the Year by both the coaches and media. Ford is Chattanooga’s first freshman of the year since quarterback Terrell Robinson shared the honor in 2011 and the Mocs’ fourth overall. He is the 12th running back to earn the honor since the award was established in 1989. UTC wideout Bryce Nunnelly, linebacker Marshall Cooper and defensive back Brandon Dowdell received first team honors for the second time. Tight end Chris James received first team All-SoCon honors. He led the Mocs with seven touchdown catches. Defensive lineman Devonsha Maxwell was a consensus first-team selection after leading the conference in sacks (7.0).
