North Murray athlete Ladd McConkey announced via his personal Twitter account that he has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The 6-foot, 180 pound athlete accounted for 2,695 total yards of offense and 30 total touchdowns in his senior year. McConkey also returned three kicks for touchdowns, and snagged four interceptions and returned three for touchdowns. During his high school career, McConkey played quarterback, wide receiver, defensive back, while also returning kicks and punts for the Mountaineers.
McConkey’s recruiting picked up after receiving an offer from Coach Smart on January 20. Following that offer, fellow SEC programs Tennessee and Vanderbilt expressed interest in the Chatsworth native. He joins early-enrollee Justin Robinson, Arian Smith, Marcus Rosemy, and Jermaine Burton as the fifth receiver in the Dawgs 2020 recruiting class. That 2020 class currently ranks No. 1 in the 247Sports team rankings, and the No. 2 ranked class according to ESPN.
