The second and final football signing period has come and gone for the 2020 recruiting cycle, but that didn’t stop the Chattanooga Mocs from adding one of the top-ranked punters in the 2020 class.

Brentwood High School (Tenn.) punter Tabor Miller, who is ranked as the eleventh-best punter by Chris Sailor’s kicking services, has announced his commitment to head coach Rusty Wright and the Chattanooga Mocs. Miller held offers from Division III institution Emory and Henry and SoCon rival Samford before earning his offer from UTC on Feb. 5 and thirteen days later Miller became a Moc.
Miller joins a Chattanooga recruiting class that finished third in the Southern Conference according to Hero Sports’ recruiting rankings. Rising junior Gabe Boring is the lone punter on the Mocs’ roster for the 2020 season. Colin Brewer handled the punting duties for the Mocs since stepping foot on campus in Chattanooga, and finished fifth in the SoCon with 7,279 total punting yards.
